The Mitchell Bondi was built in 1930 and is a good example of the inter-war, art-deco-influenced building that proliferated around Bondi at the time. The building was originally finished in brown brick, so it would have looked quite like the other residential flat buildings around it now. In the early 2000’s it was rendered, painted bright yellow and then left legally un-occupiable and inhabited by squatters for the better part of a decade!

It was renovated and landscaped in 2019. 

With only four apartments in the building, guests can be assured of a “boutique”, more personal experience than they would have in a North Bondi hotel or many North Bondi Airbnb’s.
